History

1904 - Our Founder Silvanus William Wreford (nicknamed Ben). He started the business with a single horse and cart. Within 12 months he doubled the size of his enterprize. By the outbreak of World War One he had a fleet of horses and carts and 11 drivers. 

1980 - Our Chairman Michael William Wreford, always being part of the family business.  Michael took up the Reins of Managing Director, and with his Sons Mark, Andy and Rob are all hands on members of Team Wreford's.

1919 - Silvanus (Ben) bought the companies first motorised vehicle after the end of the first world war. 

1947 - The company had grown so we no longer used horse and cart after this time, focusing on using on using motorised vehicles from this point.

1952 - Shortly after finishing the use of horse and cart our fleet grew to 10 motorised vehicles 

2004 - We celebrated our 100 year anniverary & our fleet had grown to over 80 vehicles
1919

 Wreford's started our light haulage group called Woodview, a branch off of the main business

1947
The company continued to grow from strength to strength.  Our horse and carts were replaced by motorised vehicles from this point.
1953 
Shortly after finishing with the use of horse and cart our fleet grew to 10 motorised vehicles 

                           1980
Our now Chairman Michael William Wreford, stepped up      and assumed  the role of MD in 1980 after many years of working within the family business. 


 2012 
Wreford'sMoved to their own brand new purpose build premises with workshop and ATF lanes
Today
 We are a Strong group of companies with 3 warehouses and an extensive  fleet of over 80 vehicles, we continue to evolve and expand as a successful business 115 years on
